Closure of the Castle Park and Restrictions on Vehicle Traffic and Parking During the Porcinkule Fair
We would like to inform visitors to the castle that during the traditional Porcinkule Fair, traffic and parking will be restricted in the town of Opočno, and the gate to the castle park from Zámecká Street will be closed.
From 6:00 a.m. on July 31 through 6:00 a.m. on August 3, 2026, the castle park will be closed off from Zámecká Street. Visitors will be able to access the park through the gate from the castle courtyard (during castle operating hours) or from Hradecká Street and Švamberk.
We also advise visitors to Opočno Castle to be aware of traffic and parking restrictions during the traditional Porcinkule Fair (July 27–August 2, 2025). During this period, parking will not be available at Trčkovo Square, Kupkovo Square, or the parking lot by the ice rink. Please exercise extra caution and park your vehicles in the areas designated by the organizers. Park in such a way that your vehicles do not obstruct the passage of other vehicles, especially those belonging to the integrated emergency response system.
